Meditation From the Heart

Spoken:Meditation From the Heart

SPOKEN was written to give hope to all mankind. Regardless of race, creed or color, if there is still breath, one can still find that inner peace. The mirror reveals the physical being. The heart reveals the true nature. Hidden from view, man (mankind) lives within the walls of flesh and blood. What is not seen can only be seen when that which produces its dominance appears outwardly.

No one has the advantage over the other because God is the Creator of man. The power of understanding this existence is in recognizing the flaws of self’s inability to sustain this body which houses the soul.

Interesting and Substantial quotes from your book.

I GOT DRESSED TODAY - I adorned myself with pride, prestige, and purity. I also got dressed today, but I adorned myself with the whole armor of God (power, provision, protection, and also His promises).

SEARCHING - Have you heard the song lyrics, “looking for love in all the wrong places”? The irony of those words is that love is not lost. The world was created because of love. Christ died out of love and because of love. Love is just a mirror glance away. I can’t find love if at first I don’t know that I am loved. I must first love myself. There is nothing I can do or emotions I can feel, no matter how lost or alone I am, that the love of God can’t comfort. It all begins with me and my inner search for love. (John 3:16)

TOMORROW - Tomorrow is the distant that appears to be in the grasp of reality but is so far away that it can never be attained. For tomorrow can never be. Tomorrow is today. I have the moment, the second. Only as time allows me to see, and feel can I live.

EXAMPLE IS THE BEST PRECEPT - I often comment on the mannerisms of others sometimes unjustifiable. Even if it is true, am I even qualified? Have I taken a walk around my life and recorded from head to toe every imperfection in me? The image that I view in the mirror will always bare truths, but do I accept? I am afraid that I have gone past my right to spotlight. My plate is too full correcting myself.

BURGER KING - I wish I were Burger King, then I could have it my way. I would order life the way that would please me. I would order it with onions because it would leave a bad taste in my mouth (discipline). Or just because I like them, I would add extra and wouldn’t worry wether my breath was offensive or not (self-centered). Aah, French fries. A double whopper please! Add more salt. Two, no make that three slices of cheese. Give me an extra-large drink. I think for supper I’ll have a triple whopper (abusing the temple of God). I’d better stop at the store and get some anti-acid. Better pick up some sleep aid. I won’t be able to sleep with all that on my stomach (camouflaging a wrong). Who cares? I want it my way because I am Burger King (unfeeling). Why am I dreaming? If I have it my way, I would lose my way.

Book’s Ideas/Points

SPOKEN erases and eliminates the big, the small, rich, poor. It erases the intellect. It reduces the playing fill to one common denominator. All born of flesh and blood has one factor that is germane (sin).

SPOKEN can alert the mind which can cause change and enhance the power to look deeper into self. Knowing who you are will raise the awareness of who you are not. No being is above life or death. Only God is above all!

Theme Of The Book

SPOKEN is the reality of life and it’s purpose. It causes a sincere evaluation of self. It becomes the X-ray of reality!

There are questions that are never asked for reasons that are private to those who dare to ask. Feelings or thoughts are held inside for fear of ridicule. It takes boldness to speak. These words (writings) that you have or will read are written because I have finally, through the power of God, found the spiritual strength to release that which has been growing inside since the age of six. Your age or position in life doesn't matter. If you know deep within that God will receive all the glory, release it. Always surround yourself with those who are encouragers.

About The Author

Born September 9, 1944, the sixth child of six girls and five boys to the parents of sharecroppers in the rural community of Salvia, Ky. After graduating from high school, I received an associate degree in business administration and general bookkeeping from a business college. Enlisting in the military in 1963, I became a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Our unit was deployed in July of 1965 to Vietnam and I was on the battlefield until June 1966, ending my tour, then returned home after being discharged.

After moving to Louisville, Kentucky, for a better employment, by divine design I met, fell in love, and married the missing link in my life. Since 1968, she has been my inspiration, my partner, and my best friend. God blessed our union with our daughter, Venice, and son, Causten Jr.. Our added blessings were, to raise as our own, two of her brothers, Dimitric and Aaron, including the nurturing of thirteen godchildren. Continued blessings granted us four grandchildren.

The book is written solely because of and through the encouragement of my wife. When the effects of the war weighed heavy on me, she was there. As God began to reveal Himself more clearly, I answered His call. As a minister and elder ordained by Pastor Antoyne Green, I am still reaching to attain all that God has prepared.

To you who may read this, there is nothing greater than having a virtuous woman of God to share your innermost feelings. She is the missing part of me. She is my missing rib. She is my silent heart. The deepest thoughts of one’s mind can never be heard and expressed only to the closest connection of one’s heart.
